Until 1993  Norbert Busè worked as an editor at the German public-service broadcaster ZDF and also appeared on air as the presenter. Since 1991 he has been working on film projects and questions of media education. In 1993, he moved to Berlin and directed more than hundred documentary films alongside his own experimental short films.

In 2009 he took over as Head of Factual Programming at  studio tv film GmbH in Berlin.

Norbert Busè has been officially recognised for his work , including internationally.
